I'm Janina Nagel, 26 years old and from Berlin. My short stature is called Achondroplasia and I´m 1.30m. My passion is sports and fitness and I train almost every day.
What means Fashion for you?
Fashion means individuality to me. You make yourself an individual through your own style and you can express yourself through it.
How clothes affect your everyday life?
Fashion is very important to me in everyday life. I love to dress, go shopping, combine things and try crazy styles too.
What means for you AUF AUGENHOEHE? What is your relation with the fashion label?
For me AUF AUGENHOEHE, is a homage to all the little people who love fashion because we now have the feeling that we are finally "part of the fashion world".
You are the tights ambassador, how do you like this product?
This product is my absolute highlight. You can let change by tailors many "normal" garments and somehow make them fit to your body proportion. But with a pair of tights that's not possible. You can not get some alterations done or cut them off. Therefore, I´m very happy to finally be able to wear dresses and skirts, without pleated tights.
What are your life essentials – What do you carry with you at all time?
Labello, lip gloss or lipstick I always have in my purse and of course my I-Phone. Being constantly available is a matter of course.
Most influential person in your life?
There are 2 persons. On the one hand my sister, because she always inspired me and I oriented myself on her style. Besides, she has always taught me to be strong and self-confident and not to be beaten down. Second, my best friend. He always treated me respectfully and never made me feel different, but rather something very special.
What are some inspiration things, designs, artists, music, sites that you find yourself re-vistiting often?
Laura Larsson, she is a radio presenter and influencer. On Instagram, she shows herself the way she is without pretending and scores with honesty. Terra Jole, a short-acting actress and mother of 2 children. Her spouse is also a little person and both live their dream despite the handicap. I find that admirable.
